1. Congress Skatturnier
Ramsch
What is Ramschen?
- There is no trump color in Ramsch.
- The jacks are trumps in the normal sequence
- The Skat is put aside unseen
- everyone plays for themselves, a trick is attributed to the player who takes it
- The aim of the Ramschen is either to score as few points as possible or to take all the tricks
- In tournament Skat there is no provision for Ramsch, but sometimes it is agreed that Ramsch is compulsory if the game would be fitted in instead, i.e. if nobody wants to play alone; this prevents a game from not being played out and increases the pressure to announce a bid value, as the risk of losing a Rake is relatively high with a moderate hand and the Ramsch may cost more loss points.
The winner/loser is determined as follows:
Variant 1 (preferred)
- The player with the fewest points wins the game as the sole player with 23 points plus the winner's points.
- If two players have the same number of points and the third player has more points, the first two players each receive 37 points plus the winner's points.
Variante 2 ("Pub Skat")
- Whoever wins all tricks is the winner as a single player and is credited 120 points, the game is scored as won including winner points.
- Whoever does not win all the tricks (the number of points is irrelevant here!) but achieves the highest number of points has lost the game as a single player, the number of points achieved plus the number of points in the Skat are deducted, the game is scored as lost including the loser's points.
- If exactly one player has not taken a trick, the number of points deducted from the loser's score is doubled.
