1. Congress Skat Tournament
Rules and Regulations
The following regulations are set out in the Skat Tournament Rules, but are nevertheless listed here again for general information:
- A series that has begun must be completed in person, players may not be substituted (5.4)
- fixed/drawn table places may not be exchanged and must be retained for an entire series (6.1.2, 6.1.3) Only the organizer and the referees may decide otherwise together.
- The player in position 1 at each table is the list owner, but another player can also agree to own the list (6.2.1)
- All players may view the list at any time and are jointly responsible for its correctness. (6.2.1)
- In particular, the dealer must ensure that the previous game has been entered correctly in the list (6.2.1)
- Game scores must always be added/subtracted from the last score in the list so that the current score can be recognized at all times (6.2.3). This does not apply to the additional winner/loser points. These are only calculated at the end.
- The list must be signed by all players at the end of the series after the total number of points has been calculated, only then is the series finished (6.2.5). The list, the deck of cards and the pen must then be handed over to a referee, otherwise it cannot be scored. Illegible, defective or incomplete lists can also be excluded from the scoring. (6.2.6)
- Notwithstanding 6.4.3, all recordings will be completely destroyed immediately after the prizes have been awarded and the results have been possibly transferred to a website. An objection is no longer possible after the prizes have been awarded.
- The rankings may be announced on a public website; the publication of the name/pseudonym can be objected to, but not the indication of the score and ranking.
The following rules are set out in the International Skat Rules, but are listed here again for clarification:
- 30 is Schneider. (2.5.5)
- The single player wins if at least 61 points including the cards in the Skat are reached. (2.5.4)
- A player is Schwarz if he has no tricks, the number of points is irrelevant, only the number of tricks counts. (2.5.6)
- Schneider or Schwarz can only be announced in hand games. (2.5.7)
- Open suit and Grand games are considered Schwarz announced and must therefore be hand games. (2.5.8) This rule does not apply to Null Ouvert. The Skat may be included here.
- In open games (e.g. Null-Ouvert), the hand must be laid out face up before the first card is played. The cards must be arranged according to suit and value. If this is not the case, the other party may correct the order. (2.6.5)
- Skat also counts when calculating the game value, especially in hand games this should be taken into account, as this can easily lead to unintentional over-excitement. (3.6.3) Tip: When playing without tips, do not exhaust the hand game. This is not critical when playing with tips, as it can only lead to an increase in the value of the game.
- A game announcement is irrevocable! A raise is also not permitted! (3.5.1)
- Not only the jacks count for the calculation of the suit value of a suit game, but all tips, i.e. all trumps in uninterrupted sequence (with -> uninterruptedly present, without -> uninterruptedly not present), i.e. also As-10-King-.... This means that up to 11 tips are possible, including Skat. (2.3.3)
- Any utterance (words, gestures) that can influence the course of the game and audible counting are not permitted. (4.2.9, 4.3.7)
- It is compulsory to cut! It must be done in such a way that at least 4 cards are picked up and remain on the table. (3.2.4)
- The cards should only be picked up after they have been completely dealt. Objections to incorrect shuffling, dealing and cutting are only possible before the cards are picked up. (3.2.9, 3.2.12)
